Greg Aanes first designed the Brendan Rocker for his wife when their son was born. "I wanted to create a sense of permanence and beauty in one of our every day possessions...I designed a chair that was comfortable, rocked easily, and felt pleasing to the touch."  Greg soon realized that the Brendan Rocker had universal appeal.  Its sculptural form supports your back and balances your frame as it rocks.

The chairs are made completely by hand from large planks of wood. Greg takes pride in matching the color and grain, enhancing the flowing lines and exposed joinery. Some chairs are available with a carved wooden seat and some with a cushion seat.  Cushions are 2" thick and can be covered in your choice of fabric or leather. Woods available are Cherry, Walnut, Jatoba, Figured Maple, and Mango among others.

Greg, who has been making chairs since 1985 in the Pacific Northwest, says "I hope my furniture will be more than a place to sit, but be a part of your aesthetic and spiritual life as well. Something to pass on to your children as a family heirloom.
