Crosby and Taylor, owned and operated by a husband and wife team, grew out of a love of handmade things. Progressing from experience with textiles, ceramics, and woodworking, they developed methods of casting pewter into useful home accessories.
Pewter is a white metal alloy consisting principally of tin, with small amounts of antimony and copper. All of Crosby and Taylor's products are LEAD-FREE. Pewter has been in constant use by countless civilizations (including the ancient Chinese and Egyptians) for the past 2000 years. In 18th century America, pewter tankards, plates, and other serving ware were a vital part of most households and taverns.
A variety of designs embellish their measuring spoons and cups, and they
are designed to be used! They are accurate for both liquids and solids.
