Deborah Hartwick creates magical pincushions, pillows, emerys, animal dolls and one-of-a-kind sculptures.  An accomplished artist, her pieces have graced the pages of Country Living and Country Sampler magazines. She uses early sewing techniques from the 18th and 19th century to bring her artful creations to life.

Deborah has been sewing since she was a child.  She enjoys the process of transforming fabric and thread into something whimsical and creative.   Inspired by the range of craftsmanship and color in antique sewn pieces, and with a keen eye for detail, she uses natural fabrics like cotton and wool, dyeing and over-dyeing techniques, sawdust stuffing and emery powder, to create contemporary heirlooms. Deborah's pieces are charming and meant to be used.
