Carol Hsu and her husband Jean-Pierre Hsu began in 1975 with two studios, one for metal and one for clay. In 1984 they merged their talents, creating Hsu Studios. They make mobiles, art objects and jewelry out of anodized aluminum.
Anodized aluminum is made with an electro-chemical process of oxidizing and dyeing the surface of the metal providing an infinite variety of colors. The material is light and perfect for Carol’s dynamic jewelry designs.
Earrings and pins are available in a rainbow of gorgeous hues, are lightweight, and have a Modern Art feel. Often earrings are ‘mis-matched’ on purpose and architectural shapes sway, adding an element of fashionable fun.
