Joanna Gollberg found her true calling in jewelry design, teaching and writing books about the art and craft of metalsmithing. After graduating from the Fashion Institute of Technology in New York in 1997, Joanna started exhibiting her work throughout the country as well, and has won numerous awards.
Joanna’s oxidized sterling silver earrings and necklaces show off semi-precious gemstones in highly detailed hand-made settings. Her interpretation of wearable art jewelry, the antithesis to bright shiny bling, features differently cut stones all in one piece - cabochons, faceted gems, and rough cut crystal surfaces add interest and even whimsy.
