Houston Llew was inspired by art he saw in museums as a young boy and given to sketching his interpretations of old masters works.
On a trip to Santa Fe he met the accomplished artist, Zingaro, who mentored Houston and taught him about glass fused on copper. Copper enameling is a timeless technique, through which Houston could envision his spirited imagery.
Spiritiles bring luminous icons and timeless stories to life. They are created by hand with finely ground colored glass, kiln fired to copper, and can hang on the wall or stand alone. They will never fade or tarnish and can be enjoyed in a sunny or humid spot where other art may not endure.
These tiles are 5.25" x 8.5" x 1.75" and look great in groups.
