Ed and Margaret Burke, a glass making couple from England, are some of our only artists from outside the U.S. Ed and Margaret's drinking glasses are a terrific marriage of color, whimsy, pattern and texture.

The couple established their studio in 1988, and explored many glass techniques that led them to their "Doodles" line of glassware shown at HumanArts. A 2-layer process is used with a thin layer of color encased over clear glass, then eroded to produce semi-abstract patterns forming their distinctive style. The patterns available include Bubble, Circle, Dots, Horizontal Lines, Spiral, Square, Vertical Lines and Zig Zag.
