| Whimsical, yet sophisticated, Ann Young's anthropomorphic
porcelain animals have wide appeal. They look like they
may be dancing long after the gallery's lights have
gone out! Ann says that if she makes a piece that entertains
her then it will be well received by the public.
Ann studied at the Rhode Island School of Design earning
a BFA in ceramics in 1969. She soon found she had more
interest in creating fun animal sculptures rather than
traditional pottery. She's been adding to her menagerie
for over 25 years, while she paints in oils and makes
large scale wood carvings as well.
