Marylou Ozbolt-Storer left her weaving
loom behind in 1987, developed her first line of handsewn
merino wool coats, and never looked back. Her signature
style boasts large blocks of color with contemporary
geometric and linear symbols appliqued throughout.
The Artemis line, made of high quality
polar fleece and very affordable, was introduced this
year. Cozy, and fun to wear, these jackets are reminiscent
of Marylou's designer level coats, but they have less
applique and handwork.
Marylou has thoroughly enjoyed creating
new designs and keeping her work fresh. She is inspired
by modern painters like Miro, Kandinsky, and Picasso,
as well as Japanese calligraphy, Southwest and Northwest
Native American blankets and totem patterns.
