Christine Brennan, a painter and printmaker, earned her BFA in Illustration at Rhode Island School of Design. She moved to California in the late 1980's and her work has become well loved by collectors of all ages.
Her narrative paintings incorporate a deep richness of color and an amazing light source. Christine paints in oil on wood or paper, sometimes adding gold leaf. Often dreamlike, they feature symbolic references and mysterious creatures, which invite the viewer to formulate a personal interpretation.
In addition to oil paintings she also has done a collection of giclee prints and charming shadow boxes depicting her cut out characters in 3-D.
StoryPeople's colorful prints, books and sculpture are inspired by Brian's childhood, and people from all over the world who have shared their stories with him. His childlike style of drawing guides him in incorporating original sayings and personal observations about life into his artwork.
Brian explains, "Our wish is that other people experience this amazing world we live in as full of imagination and possibility and healing. We believe our stories do that....not just StoryPeople stories, but all our stories... It is valuable and right to protect the precious connections between people."
